Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) Injection

What is a Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) Injection?

Your blood is drawn and processed in a special syringe and centrifuge to isolate your growth factors and other healing chemical messengers. The PRP is then injected into the treatment site, under real-time imaging to ensure correct placement. This targets the problem area with a boost of your own body’s isolated natural healing factors.

How It Works

PRP is often used to promote faster healing of injured soft tissue such as ligaments and tendons, it is also used to reduce pain in arthritic joints. PRP is usually given as one injection per treatment episode; however, a series of two or three PRP injection may be indicated to provide the optimal outcome.
